What is Mariah's Kids...
Mariah's story is located at www.mariahskids.org; in short her dream was to be a special needs teacher. A fund was established in her name after her passing and through this, many children with special needs have been assisted with music and equine therapy, bowling, swimming, drama and art.
It was through the equine program that Mariah's Kids was introduced to Freedom Reigns. Through several fundraising efforts, they were able to assist in paying the ransom of the foals that were brought from Canada. It was through this effort that the New Life Thoroughbred Rescue was formed and is now partners with Freedom Reigns.
New Life Thoroughbred Rescue has a dream to acquire a beautiful facility right in the heart of Fort Collins. When that happens, we will incorporate a program called, Mariah's Kids Club. This will be a club where younger children can come and be tutored, have music and art therapy, free play and simply enjoy fellowship with other kiddos. They may have some interaction with the horses, however, we realize that might not be the focus for all children.
