Horses for Adoption
We have a horse ready for adoption!

Meet Mariposa!  A sweet two year old quarter-horse bald face red and white paint with a polka dot above her left eye, comes to us via a Canadian Premarin Drug Ranch.  Her mama was used for the production of the hormone Premarin.  When Mariposa was born, the rancher didn't want to feed her so was sending her to slaughter.  We intervened and saved her life.  She has a very sweet demeanor...but don't let that fool you!  She's got spunk and needs a guiding hand to teach her the difference between right and wrong.

Halters, trailoring and roundpen work are old hat now but she still has a long way to go.  If you are interested, please call Tracy Cookman at 970-988-2828.

Meet Dry Branch Dame "DBD"

The other horses currently at our ranch are resting, rehabilitating and enjoying their new life of freedom from fear.

Watch this page for updates as we are constantly helping others place horses.  Should any rescues occur, we will post information on available horses here.

Our adoption process is quite strict as we are very concerned about the future well-being of these majestic horses.  God has placed them in our care and we are obligated to assure their future safety.

If you are interested in adopting, please contact us for an adoption application.  This will be reviewed and then approved.  Once approved, an adoption agreement will be sent to you.  There are stipulations that you must agree to prior to the transfer of the horse.  For a preview of these, please contact us.

If we are not satisfied with the agreement or feel in any way that the well-being of the horse will be compromised, we reserve the right to deny the agreement prior to the transfer of the horse.

For more information on this, please feel free to email us via the contact page.

Dry Branch Dame is an off the track Thoroughbred who is currently rehabilitating at our ranch.  She has been with us for almost a year and we believe she is ready to enjoy some light eventing.  This picture doesn't do her justice.  She now has more weight and looks really great.  For more information and a private showing, please contact us.
